NTI Receives National Recognition at the American Legion Department of Texas Convention

    Aug 15, 2025

At the 106th American Legion Department of Texas Convention in Austin, Texas, Namauu Technological and Industrial (NTI) was recognized with the American Legion Veterans Employment and Education Commission Employment Service Award in the Medium-Sized Employer of Veterans category.

Our very own Starla Condes, Portfolio Manager, Talent Acquisition, represented NTI at the event, who accepted the award on behalf of the company. Alex Longoria-Mendoza, Program Manager, Branding & Market Presence was also there to document the event.

“This award belongs to every veteran at NTI who continues to serve—not in uniform, but in the way they show up every day with integrity, precision, and drive,” said Starla.

She added, “Veterans bring a mindset to our team that elevates every mission. And our team is stronger because of them.”

The recognition underscores NTI’s commitment to employing and supporting veterans, whose leadership and adaptability not only strengthen teams but also provide lessons worth sharing more broadly. Veterans often embody the principles NTI emphasizes in its education-based approach: bringing real-world experience forward, helping others learn, and ensuring knowledge is applied with discipline and purpose.

“To be recognized by an organization as respected and mission-driven as the American Legion means more than I can express,” Starla noted.

For NTI, this award is a reminder that education doesn’t stop with training programs or professional development—it happens every day when veterans bring their perspective and experience into the workplace. By highlighting these stories, NTI aims to help others see the lasting value veterans provide, both in industry and in service to their communities.

A video vlog from the ceremony, capturing the award presentation and behind-the-scenes moments from Austin, is now available to watch.
